This new role is critical to maintaining and developing a positive reputation amongst the company’s core stakeholder groups. Working under the direction of the marketing manager, you will be responsible for promoting the company’s core activities, achievements, projects and products to a broad range of customers and clients, whilst ensuring the organisation maintains a strong and visible presence within our key stakeholder groups. With exceptional written English skills, you will craft compelling and credible content, identifying and adapting key messages that resonates with different target audiences. You will build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders and monitor the effectiveness of promotion activities. You will play a pivotal role in generating innovative ideas, content, and customer stories for the company’s website, social media channels and promotional campaigns. Additionally, you will contribute to the broader marketing efforts by writing, promoting, and distributing press releases, mail shots, and email campaigns. You will enhance the company’s case study library by conducting customer interviews, capturing photographs or videos as needed, and publishing on-brand, targeted testimonials. Additionally, you will collaborate with colleagues to gather data for marketing activities, write award submissions, curate content for internal communications, create presentations for various staff members, and manage paid advertising campaigns. The marketing coordinator role supports the marketing team’s activities in all areas of the company including business development, recruitment and support business growth. All activity will be directed by the marketing manager, and you will need to work to defined strategies and plans in a timely manner. There will be opportunities to take ownership of elements of the plans, and it is expected that you can work on initiative with supervision provided when relevant. Although a detailed understanding of the industry is not essential at the start, you will need to quickly learn, research, and write about various energy-saving measures, funding opportunities, and policy developments in a language that is easily understood by the target audience. Key responsibilities: Content development: Create engaging content for a variety of audiences and channels, including website, social media, and marketing materials. Website management: Update and optimise the company website for SEO to improve search engine rankings and drive traffic. Social media: Write and schedule social media content using Sprout Social, ensuring consistent and timely posts across all platforms. Digital marketing activity: Coordinate with external agencies to develop and execute effective paid digital advertising campaigns, ensuring alignment with the company's marketing objectives and brand guidelines. Customer case studies and testimonials: Develop compelling customer case studies and testimonials using photography and video to highlight our success stories. Internal communications: Maintain and update the company intranet, creating informative and engaging content for our colleagues. Award submissions: Write and submit award entries to showcase the company's achievements and gain recognition in the industry. Campaign support: Assist in the planning and execution of marketing campaigns, including events and promotional activities. Analytics and reporting: Monitor and report on the effectiveness of marketing activities, providing insights and recommendations for improvement. Key knowledge and skills: Proven experience in a marketing role, preferably as a coordinator or similar position. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proven experience in copywriting for a variety of audiences and channels. Proficiency in content creation and social media management tools, especially Sprout Social. Good knowledge of SEO best practices and website management. Good knowledge of digital advertising platforms. Good photography and videography skills for creating dynamic content. Ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders and team members, Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects efficiently with minimum supervision. Ability to analyse marketing data and metrics to measure campaign effectiveness. Strong organisational skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
