About the Role
To be responsible for the security, maintenance and cleanliness of Adult Social Care premises across Nottingham City Council. To plan, oversee and undertake planned maintenance programmes such as Painting and Decorating, waste disposals, Furniture assembly. Carry out statutory testing and safety checks to include PAT testing, Ladder safety inspections and to undertake repairs in an area of specialism to include, but not limited to, plumbing, joinery and/or minor electrical repairs
About You
The ideal candidate will have:
· A relevant qualification or equivalent specialist technical knowledge and experience in a trade skill e.g. plumbing, electrical repairs or joinery
· Experience of, and an ability to, undertake repairs and develop maintenance schedules/programmes.
· Good working knowledge of health & safety and building regulations and experience of contributing to risk assessments.
· Experience of managing planned repairs and small building/repair projects.
- This post is covered by the statutory duty under Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) (English Language Requirement for public sector workers) and therefore the ability to speak fluent English, is an essential requirement for the role.
- A DBS enhanced check for a regulated activity is required for this post.
