About the Role
To be responsible for the security, maintenance, and cleanliness of Adult Social Care premises across Nottingham City Council. To plan, oversee, and undertake planned maintenance programmes such as painting and decorating, waste disposals, and furniture assembly. Carry out statutory testing and safety checks, including PAT testing and ladder safety inspections, and undertake repairs in an area of specialism, including but not limited to plumbing, joinery, and/or minor electrical repairs.
About You
The ideal candidate will have:
* A relevant qualification or equivalent specialist technical knowledge and experience in a trade skill (e.g., plumbing, electrical repairs, or joinery).
* Experience of, and an ability to, undertake repairs and develop maintenance schedules/programmes.
* Good working knowledge of health & safety and building regulations and experience of contributing to risk assessments.
* Experience of managing planned repairs and small building/repair projects.
* Fluency in English, as required under Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016).
* A DBS enhanced check for a regulated activity is required for this post.
