Job Description
What’s it like being the sole Revenue Controller for this corporate boutique law firm?Honestly, I couldn’t tell you. They’ve not had someone in-house doing this role before. But for me, that’s what makes this opportunity so appealing. Close to Bank in the City of London, they’ve doubled in size in 5 years (approx.
100 staff) and have ambitious growth plans ahead. WIP valuations are becoming more complex and it’s time to appoint an experienced revenue controller looking for the right environment to showcase what they can do. The FD is looking for someone who can bring fresh ideas to the firm; experienced in leading effective WIP meetings and who can positively and proactively influence Partner behaviours to improve working capital performance. There’s a mature approach to getting the work done here.
You’ll need to have a weekly presence in the office, but there’s good flexibility around remote working and working hours, with a healthy culture of work/life balance from the top down (incl. for the Partners). Billing is performed by the PA’s, with your focus being on WIP management and collections, although prior experience of billing will be useful.
Working in a small finance team of 4, you'll also provide some cover for others on occasion, but there'll be training for that. Salary guidance: £50-60k + bonus?? So how’s your career in revenue control shaping up currently?
? Do you like the thought of having firmwide influence and impact??? Are you trusted to get your work done without having to commute to office for 3 days every week?
