Role Objective

Due to our continued growth we have an exciting new opportunity for a Management Accountant to join the Accounts team in Aberdeen. You will work within the finance team reporting to the Senior Management Accountant and be involved with monthly reporting and processing, liaising with the Sales Ledger and Purchase ledger teams to ensure completeness and accuracy of month end reports. We’re looking for someone who can manage a varied workload with strong Microsoft Excel skills.
Responsibilities
1. Maintenance of fixed asset register
2. Completion of month end journals including prepayments and accruals
3. Review of contract performance
4. Balance sheet reconciliations
5. Completion of month end management accounts
6. Analytical review work
7. Participate in annual budget preparation and monitoring of subsequent performance
8. Preparation and participation in annual audit
9. Preparation of tax analysis for annual tax computation
10. Reconciliation of contract works and subcontractor schedules
11. Ad hoc reporting and finance related tasks
Person Specification
This role will suit an enthusiastic individual who is keen to demonstrate initiative and has an eye for detail. Experience and abilities should include:
1. Part qualified or qualified by experience (> 2 years’ experience preferred)
2. Strong Microsoft Excel skills
3. Experience of Business Central would be beneficial but not essential
4. Managing a varied workload and prioritisation of tasks
5. Communicate with other internal departments to resolve queries
6. Smart image and a professional attitude
7. Flexible and adaptable
