Role: Project Manager / Draughtsman Hours: Full Time Location: Frome Salary: c. £60K Plus The Vacancy Our client are a bespoke industrial manufacturing company in the environmental / HVAC / Filtration sector & is part of a global organisation, they are based in frome and are currently on the lookout for a Project Manager with Draughtsman experience who will have a direct impact on the development & growth of the company, along with having a high degree of responsibility & autonomy. This role is based on site from their office in frome, with some remote working possible, this is to be discussed further. The Role This Role would suit a candidate from an engineering / construction background, possibily having worked with clean air filtration systems. Any experience within the equipment associated with air filtration would be advantageous but is not essential as on the job training will be provided to support any knowledge gaps. The PM will take ownership of the projects worked on & will be involved in all aspects of a project, starting at order placement & working through to the final handover to the client. Taking handovers of new projects from the Sales team Drawing and supplying the relevant system drawings before installation Agreeing design and specification before installation Instructing the Production Manager of required materials and equipment Production and monitoring of project programmes Cost management/margin uplift where possible Assist in closing off jobs on the ERP system Management of internal resources Liaison with the installation Contracts Manager and in-house labour force on installations Liaison with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure projects are completed on time and to budget Handle multiple projects from handover to completion in Air Pollution Control, typically involving new Dust and Fume Extraction systems, Weld fume systems with fan exhausts with a typical order value £5,000 to £300,000 Liaising with clients to establish accurate installation time frames Working out of the office based in Frome possibly with some remote working Reporting to the Operations Manager What are we Looking for? Project engineering experience Technical Drawing use of CAD is a must Technical qualification in Mechanical Engineering, or similar.
