Your role as a Trainee / Tree Inspector will be assisting with the landscaping elements of the Roadworks projects. The purpose of this role is to provide arboriculture support on the management of trees and vegetation and their impact on associated assets. Duties will be to inspect, assess and report on the condition of roadside and other trees. Also to maintain and update computerised tree inventories and inspection records, issue work instructions to contractors where required, and carry out a range of other forestry and arboriculture-related tasks. Key responsibilities for this role: Collaborate with team members to complete landscaping projects Conducting tree inspections across the Gloucestershire area to assess tree health and risk in line with our working practices, Travelling to sites, planning a day’s surveying work/Reporting defects Assess tree health and identify any diseases or pests that may be affecting the trees Handling data and issuing inspection reports to arborists to be able to carry out tree surgery in an efficient manner, This person will need to be/have: Experience of IT systems, databases and administrative processes Comfortable working in a hybrid role both indoors and outdoors Understanding of health and safety related issues regarding site survey Full, valid UK driving license Although full training will be provided for the right candidate, the following would be beneficial (not essential): Arb experience NPTC Utility Arboriculture Units 1, 2.1, 5.1 and 5.2 LANTRA Basic or Professional Tree Inspectors Qualification Landscaping experience If you are interested in the role please apply by submitting your CV or call PJ on (phone number removed) for more information
