Founders is searching for a passionate cybersecurity professional to join our IT team as a Cyber Security Architect. This position will be on site at our Corporate Headquarters in Lancaster, SC. Remote work is not available.
Job Summary:
The Cyber Security Architect is responsible for security architecture of the enterprise network, and the design and implementation of security solutions. This includes the development and design of security best practices and implementation of solid security principles across the organization to meet the business goals and address emerging threats. This position is also responsible for monitoring and reviewing security controls in the enterprise to make sure they are maintaining the system’s quality attributes such as confidentiality, integrity and availability.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Design, build and implement enterprise-class security systems for a production environment.
2. Align standards, frameworks and security with overall business and technology strategy.
3. Identify and communicate current and emerging security threats.
4. Design security architecture elements to mitigate threats as they emerge.
5. Create solutions that balance business requirements with information and cyber security requirements for Founder FCU and FIT customers.
6. Identify security design gaps in existing and proposed architectures and recommend changes or enhancements.
7. Identify new vulnerabilities and threats and develop strategies for remediating them in the network.
8. Review and develop Incident Response processes and workflows.
9. Participate in on call duties on Incident Response team and ensure the team follows the security strategy, policies and procedures to properly respond to an information security incident.
10. Participate in information security and IT Framework organizations including but not limited to ISACA, Infragard and FSISAC.
11. Identify and monitor daily security alerts and system review information for notification and tracking purposes.
12. Participate in departmental project implementations.
13. Responsible for network and firewall security.
14. Oversee risk analysis and assessments for system upgrades and new implementations.
15. Ensure compliance with applicable statutes and regulations requirements including, but not limited to, GLBA, FFIEC, BSA as well as good business practices.
16. All other duties as assigned.
Job Specifications:
The Cyber Security Architect should possess a bachelor’s degree or fifteen years of related IT security experience is required. Security certification in one of the following areas relating to CISM, CSX, or CISSP is required. Must have excellent oral and written communication skills along with the ability to understand and explain technical details and information to technical and non-technical audiences.
Proficiency in system management and back-office processes is preferred. The Cyber Security Architect should demonstrate the ability to analyze, research and resolve questions or concerns and possess the ability to learn quickly and adjust to technology changes.
Due to the nature of project deadlines, system update requirements and end of period processing schedules, evening and weekend work as well as being on call will be required based on department requirements.
