Introducing Hannah who was born in November. She lives at home with her mother, father, 2 younger siblings and has wider family living nearby. Hannah enjoys sport, especially football; she also enjoys baking and has a keen interest in make-up and styling her hair. We are seeking a patient, caring Support Worker to assist Hannah with homework and support her with her interests.
Due to a birth injury, Hannah struggles with her memory and processing information and she needs support with organisation and planning. Hannah can become frustrated at times, and you will need to be aware of the emotional, behavioural and cognitive problems our client has as a result of her injuries. She is independent with most aspects of personal care but will require encouragement and prompting at times.
Your role will be to support Hannah with personal care and domestic tasks, food and drink preparation, life skills (promoting independence), completing homework, accompanying her with activities at home and within the community, and providing companionship. You may also be required to help transport Hannah to appointments, and support Hannah with her therapy programmes.
This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated person to join a family home and develop existing skills and support this very special young lady. A truly rewarding role for someone who is able to communicate effectively and an ability to work with patience, understanding, warmth and compassion.
