The role
An exciting opportunity has arisen at Fugro in Aberdeen for an Expeditor. We are seeking an experienced and highly organized Expeditor to join our UK Procurement & Supply Chain team. The Expeditor plays a crucial role in ensuring the timely delivery of materials, components, and products to meet production schedules and customer demands. Further, this position plays a key role in chasing our suppliers to improve our P2P process.
Core activities include:
* Effective communication and coordination with internal teams, suppliers, and freight carriers to resolve issues and minimize delays.
* Collaboration with purchasing, production, and logistics teams to enhance supply chain efficiency.
* Tracking and documentation of accurate records of orders, shipments, and delivery schedules, while liaising with the Procurement Team to engage with suppliers and address the quality of delivered goods or services.
* Problem-solving and process improvement by identifying opportunities for process improvements and implementing solutions to streamline operations.
* Order management including coordinating with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials, monitoring inventory levels, anticipating potential shortages or delays, and expediting orders.
* Using KPIs to measure performance and ensure goals are met.
