Opened in 2010, Langley Oaks is a very modern and welcoming care home in a residential area of South Croydon, close to attractive parks and woodland. We provide personalised residential and respite care for older people with Alzheimer's and other types of dementia. We also offer compassionate and supportive end of life care. Langley Oaks has been specially designed to meet the needs of older people with dementia. The layout of the home enables residents to explore freely. We take a person-centred approach to care, which means offering lots of choices and always involving residents and their families when making decisions. Our aim is for each resident to feel valued and in control, and to have as much independence as possible. Our friendly team starts getting to know each resident even before they move in – we use a special form to help us find out about everything from important events in their life to what colours they do and don’t like. We work closely with each individual and their relatives to create a tailored care plan that takes into account all of their needs and preferences.
