They enhance existing manufacturing technologies while integrating new solutions to improve process efficiency and tolerance control. Acting as the bridge between product development and manufacturing engineering, they ensure seamless collaboration, optimizing designs for manufacturability through prototyping and sample tooling. Key Responsibilities - Oversee Quality, Environmental, Health & Safety functions. - Define project objectives, scope, roles, and responsibilities while tracking costs to stay within budget. - Analyze Product Requirement Specifications to determine the optimal manufacturing process. - Conduct tolerance analysis, process capability studies, and create bills of materials for equipment. - Design CAD tooling, estimate costs, and determine resource requirements for new processing equipment. - Collaborate with Product Development Engineering to assess extrusion and expansion processes. - Identify and implement tooling, fixtures, and equipment for extrusion, cross-linking, expansion, and finishing. - Research and integrate new technologies to enhance product quality, cost efficiency, and capacity. - Assist in creating specification documents and ensuring compliance with TE standards. - Support lead engineers in process validation, implementation, and continuous improvement initiatives. - Plan, execute, and evaluate documentation for new equipment and plant trials. LI-ONSITE jobsEMEAIM Your ideal background: - Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field (focus on process equipment design and automation preferred). - Experience in manufacturing, process development, automation, and equipment design. - Knowledge of extrusion processes, tooling, and high-shear compound mixing. - Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, etc.). - Experience with ANSYS (or similar simulation software). - Understanding of control systems is a plus. - Strong verbal and written communication skills, including presentations and public speaking. - Fluent in English (spoken and written) to represent TE Connectivity in business matters.
