EYFS Teaching Assistant
Location: B6, Birmingham
Daily Rate: £90- £105
Days: Monday to Friday
Hours: 8:30am to 3:30pm
Start Date: January 2025
Are you looking for a rewarding role working with small groups of EYFS children with SEN?
Long Term Futures are searching for a patient and nurturing SEN teaching assistant to join our welcoming two-form entry primary school in Aston.
The role involves supporting students in EYFS on a 1:1 basis. Some of the children are non-verbal, and the role will focus on developing their communication and interaction skills through play-based activities. This position is offered on a long-term basis with the potential to become permanent for the successful candidate.
The Ideal Candidate:
1. Level 2 or 3 qualified and/or a minimum of 12 months' experience in an educational/nursery establishment.
2. Experience supporting pupils with SEN (ASD, Non-verbal).
3. Experience helping children develop communication & interaction.
4. Knowledge of the UK EYFS & Key Stage One primary curriculum.
5. A calm, patient, and caring persona.
6. Good communication skills.
7. A good understanding of child protection and safeguarding guidelines.
