Job Title: Senior Finance Business Partner
Role and Person Overview
At A H Worth, we are seeking a motivated Finance Business Partner who will primarily focus on forging strong relationships while managing the commercial and operational P&L for one of our four business units. This role places significant emphasis on the ability to build strong connections across finance and non-finance departments to drive collaboration, informed decision-making, and overall business success.
This position requires a “thinking outside of the box” mindset, great attention to detail and communication skills, the ability to manage multiple systems, and someone with advanced Excel skills. You will serve as a bridge between finance and operations, driving financial efficiency and providing essential support to various business functions.
Key Responsibilities
* Make business partnering the cornerstone of this role
* Foster relationships and collaborations with both finance and non-finance stakeholders to align financial strategies with operational goals.
* Develop and nurture strong relationships with key senior managers, executive teams, and operational staff.
* Assume ownership of the Commercial and Operational P&L for the designated business unit.
* Leverage strong relationships to garner insights, challenge assumptions, and drive informed financial decisions.
* Deliver on time, accurate weekly financial information for your Business Unit to be presented to the wider team.
* Provide insightful weekly commentary focused on key action points to help drive business decisions.
* Deliver on time, accurate Monthly financial information (P&L and Balance sheets) for your Business Unit to be presented to the wider team.
* Deliver a month-end number that is owned by not just finance but Business Unit General Managers too.
* Lead the budgeting and forecasting processes for your business unit delivering in a timely manner.
* Challenge assumptions with relevant stakeholders and translate variances into understandable narratives to present back to the business.
* Identify, challenge, and drive changes in existing processes and procedures.
* Utilise system data to generate new insightful reporting.
* Responsible to develop and help the individual grow within the role and develop a talent pipeline for the Finance function.
* Complete quarterly reviews and any other duties as applicable.
Qualifications and Skills
* Professional finance qualification or studying towards (CIMA/ACCA) – study support included.
* Demonstrated experience in business partnering.
* Proven track record of successful P&L management, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
* Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate complex financial information in a clear and concise manner to diverse stakeholders.
* Strong business acumen and the capacity to influence effectively across all levels of the organisation.
* Analytical mindset with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
* Proficiency in financial modelling, budgeting, and forecasting.
