The three departments of Cardiology, Cardiac Surgery and Vascular Surgery have 132 beds at the St Thomas' hub site, 5 cardiac catheter laboratories, 4 dedicated operating theatres and a vascular hybrid facility with integrated imaging. We are a leader for open, endovascular and hybrid treatment of patients with complex Vascular pathology. Royal Brompton and Harefield hospitals joined Guy's and St Thomas' in February 2021 and is the largest specialist heart and lung centre in the UK and among the largest in Europe. We provide treatment for people with heart and lung disease, including rare and complex conditions, offering some of the most sophisticated treatment that is available anywhere in the world. Main duties of the job The successful candidate will be a member of the Lower Limb Multidisciplinary Team and Guy's and St. Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust and as such will help manage all aspects of the pathway. They will be exposed to a wide variety of lower limb procedures, both open and endovascular. This job is for a candidate who is extensively trained in vascular surgery (post - CCT or 7 complete years of postgraduate training, or equivalent if applying from oversea) and is looking for further advanced training in all aspects of complex revascularisation in a busy tertiary centre prior to looking for a consultant role. About us Although the applicant will be expected to predominantly support the Lower Limb service, they will also be exposed to the full range of complex tertiary services provided by the department through support of emergency work. All Senior Specialist Clinical Fellows within the department will undertake a rolling rota covering inpatients, outpatients, as-well as providing on-call cover to the specialties during the day and night.
