To assist the Store Manager with recruiting, hiring, training, and managing store personnel to achieve store and personal sales goals, control expenses, and to protect company assets.
Essential Job Functions:
1. Meet and exceed store and personal sales goals and standards of performance
2. Assist in recruiting and hiring of high caliber employees with in-store needs
3. Assist in training and developing a successful sales team
4. Provide feedback, coaching, and accountability to all employees by enforcing all company policies and practices
5. Ensure that all company initiatives are properly implemented and to the standard of the company direction
6. Supervise and manage all aspects of daily store operations in Store Manager and MOT’s absence
7. Supervise and manage all aspects of Loss Prevention practices in Store Manager and MOT’s absence
8. Effectively communicate all store needs to Store Manager
9. Resolve customer issues effectively
10. Provide a fun, full service experience to all customers
11. Understand the Journeys culture and demonstrate it to the team
Job Requirements:
1. Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
2. Desire to succeed in a fast-paced retail environment
3. Ability to work 45 hours per week
4. Ability to work evening and weekend shifts
5. Ability to climb, reach, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs
