Responsible Investment is central to our work, its a priority for our partner funds, and is embedded in how we invest across our range of assets. Our award-winning Responsible Investment team act as a centre of excellence to help colleagues across the organisation better integrate Responsible Investment into their decisions and actions.
The team is growing and is recruiting for aResponsible Investment Integration Managerto support the implementation of our Responsible Investment approach, and turn our strategy and policies into reality.
The role what youll be doing
As aResponsible Investment Integration Manager,your role is hugely important and will include:
* Overseeing the integration of RI into our investment decision-making and processes across all Investment Teams, including our internally and externally managed investment strategies.
* Working closely with the internal investment teams to help them embed RI into their investment decision-making, across our internally-managed strategies.
* Engaging with key internal stakeholders and building relationships to ensure effective interaction between the Investment, Research, and RI teams.
* Developing and maintaining RI procedures and guidelines to reflect industry best practices, and to enable a holistic approach to RI across all investment strategies.
* Building out our processes, analytics and data access, to support investment team decision making, and ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of RI metrics and calculations.
* Overseeing the production and dissemination of RI materials, data, and content.
* Managing and scheduling workflows and deliverables, and identifying and implementing opportunities to improve productivity.
* Developing training for Investment teams on evolving RI practices and data analysis.
* Demonstrating leadership behaviours, promoting an RI-focused culture, and where applicable carrying out people management activities for more junior colleagues in the team
About you - and the value youll bring to our team
You are an experienced professional with a deep understanding of Responsible Investment and stewardship principles. You have extensive experience in integrating RI considerations into investment decision-making processes across multiple asset classes.
You have:
* Significant experience working in a senior analytical or managerial role within the asset owner/management, or broader financial services sector, with a focus on RI.
* A strong ability to design and implement RI integration processes, including developing and delivering training programs, working directly with portfolio management teams.
* Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to articulate complex RI concepts to diverse audiences.
* Familiarity with regulatory requirements and industry best practices related to RI and ESG, and experience with RI metrics and methodologies.
* Demonstrated experience in managing projects and workflows in a collaborative team environment, with high levels of organisation and attention to detail.
* Ability to develop and where applicable manage junior team members, fostering a collaborative and supportive culture.
* A proactive, self-motivated attitude with the ability to manage a large and variable workload, and a willingness to assist and support other team members when required.

About Us
Border to Coast is the largest LGPS (Local Government Pension Scheme) pool in the UK. It is owned by 11 Local Government Pension Schemes (Partner Funds). The Partner Funds represent 3,100 employers and over a million members.
The Partner Funds are Bedfordshire, Cumbria, Durham, East Riding, Lincolnshire, North Yorkshire, South Yorkshire, Surrey, Teesside, Tyne and Wear and Warwickshire.
The Partner Funds have c.£64bn in investments, of which Border to Coast is responsible for managing £47.9bn (as of 31 March 2024). Border to Coast also provides support and advice on a further £8.2bn, primarily invested in index funds, which sit outside of the pool.
Border to Coast offers its 11 Partner Funds investment opportunities across equities, fixed income, private markets, and global and UK real estate.
