Description Permanent contract | part-time 22.2 hours per week (60% of full-time) | £33,366 to £35,235 per annum pro rata (Grade H) | Norwich SEND Local Offer Development Officer This is an exciting time to be joining the special educational needs and disability (SEND) Strategic Improvement and Partnerships team with the recent launch of the Norfolk Area SEND and Alternative Provision Strategy (NASAPS) and its Local Inclusion Action Plan (LAIP). In collaboration with strategic partners and stakeholders our aim is to understand the experiences of children and young people (CYP) with SEND, their families and those who work with them, to promote good practice and to work together to address areas of concern. The team The SEND Improvement and Partnerships team is a small team of six. Although each member of the team has their own unique role with individual responsibilities, our work involves extensive collaboration with each other, NCC colleagues and external stakeholders. The role This is a varied role with wide ranging responsibilities and as such it requires someone who is highly organised with strong interpersonal skills, appreciating that you will routinely be talking to families face to face at our various events across the county. Additionally, you will need to demonstrate a creative flair, robust accuracy and attention to detail and the ability to produce a range of analytical and research reports with recommendations. It is also essential that you can follow instructions, and work to deadlines. The role includes: providing project support to the Local Inclusion Action Plan supporting the organisation of conferences and events, presenting and talking to parents/carers who have a child with SEND and a wide range of stakeholders about the SEND Local Offer developing information for CYP with SEND, their parents/carers and stakeholders supporting the communication of information to families using social media and other appropriate channels consulting with stakeholders to keep the SEND Local Offer under review and as part of its development For further information about the role please contact claire.jones2norfolk.gov.uk Before you apply, we recommend reading the full Job Description and Person Specification to help you demonstrate you meet the criteria we are looking for.
