We are looking for an experienced Health & Safety Advisor to join our team working on high security civils projects, from our base in Norfolk. The role involves one main location, however travel to support the rest of the group may be necessary as required.
What you will be doing:
* Conduct regular audits and inspections to identify potential hazards, assess risks, and ensure compliance with safety, health, environmental, and quality requirements.
* Provide guidance and support to management and teams on safety, health, environmental, and quality issues, including the development and implementation of site-specific policies and procedures.
* Manage and ensure that all permitting and inspections are completed and hold the relevant information (permit controller).
* Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses, and assist in developing corrective and preventive actions to address root causes and prevent reoccurrence.
* Coordinate training programs to raise awareness of safety, health, environmental, and quality standards and ensure that team members are adequately trained to perform their duties safely.

Monitor and report on key performance indicators related to safety, health, environmental, and quality performance, and identify areas for improvement.
* Qualified in IOSH or NEBOSH (or working towards).
* Qualified in SMSTS (Units 1-3).
* Utility/Construction Site Experience.
* Good Knowledge of CDM 2015.
* Lifting Operations accreditation preferred.
* Experience in writing/reviewing Risk Assessments, Method Statements & Reports.
* Experience in investigating incidents.
* Good oral communication skills.
* Good negotiating skills, tact and diplomacy.
* Assertive and able to persuade people to follow rules and change their working practices.
* Good level of physical fitness and stamina.
* Logical approach and able to solve problems.
* Well-organised and pays attention to detail.
* Able to cope under pressure.
This is a full-time role, Monday to Friday, although flexibility for an earlier start time or later finish time may be required on occasions due to audits and inspections.
