As part of this role, you will help manage and support our digital communication strategies, including maintaining and updating the school’s website and social media platforms to ensure they remain engaging and informative. You will be responsible for ensuring all online information is accurate, up-to-date, and accessible to our parents, prospective parents, and the wider school community.
Job Purpose:
To support the school’s marketing and communication efforts by maintaining and updating the school’s website and social media website. You will ensure all online information is accurate, up-to-date, and engaging for parents, prospective parents, and the wider school community.
To ensure all IT systems, software, processes and hardware within the school are supported promptly and effectively. Meaning all IT systems of the school are readily available for the use of pupils and staff and to develop those systems to provide new, faster, and better services for the whole school population (including Trustees, parents, prospective parents etc.).
To work closely with the Strategic ICT Manager to enhance the school’s IT provision to provide a fast, reliable network that inspires trust and confidence through its use for the staff and students. Including giving recommendations for upgrades and best practice for new and existing systems and equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
Be the first point of contact for the school, in the use of PCs, laptops, network infrastructure, network appliances and peripherals.
To ensure and manage the configuration and installation of new software onto the network and to maintain existing installations.
To prepare, build and configure a computer image for deployment to include all educational software. Maintain the school’s IT Infrastructure documentation.
To use diagnostic methodologies that to ensure that problems are swiftly identified and resolved.
To provide effective training and support to staff and pupils.
Maintain a school wide asset register for all IT equipment and assist other departments with their assets via a central system.
Where appropriate determine, implement and monitor health and safety risk control measures with statutory guidelines.
