The Role
The firm is looking for an individual to manage their own caseload of residential conveyancing matters, including sales, purchases, leasehold, freehold, and new build properties, and play a key role in establishing and growing the Cheltenham office.
This role is perfect for someone with experience in residential conveyancing who is commercially-minded, adaptable, and able to manage a caseload independently. You will benefit from support from the business development team, ensuring a consistent flow of work without the pressure of generating new business yourself.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Manage your own caseload of residential property transactions, including sales, purchases, leasehold, freehold, and new builds.
2. Play an instrumental role in growing the Cheltenham office in collaboration with the leadership team.
3. Build and maintain strong client relationships, offering expert legal advice and exceptional service.
4. Supervise, mentor, and develop junior fee earners, paralegals, and assistants.
5. Contribute to business development efforts and team targets to drive growth.
What the Firm is Looking For:
1. Experience in residential conveyancing, with the ability to manage your own caseload (formal qualifications like Solicitor or CILEX are not required).
2. A commercially-minded, adaptable individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
3. Ability to manage a busy caseload independently.
4. Target-driven with a clear focus on delivering results and contributing to the firm's success.
5. Exceptional organisational skills and attention to detail.
6. A proactive, "can-do" attitude with a passion for delivering outstanding client care.
Caseload Expectations & Targets:
The firm operates on a fixed-fee model, avoiding time recording, with targets set based on the number of property exchanges. The successful candidate will work towards these targets, designed to support both individual and team success, while contributing to the overall growth of the firm.
This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a firm's expansion into Cheltenham, with plenty of potential for both personal and professional development. Join a modern, forward-thinking firm that values its employees and fosters a culture of success.
