Job overview
The post holder will be a member of the Maintenance Team responsible for carrying out day-to-day repairs and statutory Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) for buildings within the Trust by using specialist knowledge and skills gained from training, experience and appropriate qualifications; to service, maintain and support on hospital mechanical engineering installations.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will carry out their duties in an efficient manner with full awareness, understanding and compliance with the Trust’s Health & Safety and Infection Control Policies and Procedures and in particular the Maintenance Department’s safe systems of work and working practices which includes being aware of Permits to Work and when they need to be used.

Education
* Good education standards
* City & Guilds or NVQ level 3 (or equivalent)
* Recognised Apprenticeship or experience
Skills and Knowledge
* Fault finding skills (diagnostic approach) on mechanical systems / controls
* Use relative tools and equipment
* Working knowledge of hospital services
Personal Qualities
* Able to work as part of a team and work under own initiative
* Current Driving License
