Job Description:
This a unique and exciting opportunity to join Cranstoun’s domestic abuse team to deliver linked partner support work alongside our specialist perpetrator interventions, across Southend, Essex & Thurrock (SET). Our behavioural change programmes are for those who perpetrate abusive behaviours in their relationships.
ReSET is Cranstoun’s domestic abuse service for perpetrators, that looks to improve safety for victim/survivors by holding perpetrators of abuse accountable for their actions while providing opportunities for behaviour change.
An essential component of that intervention is the support and advocacy we provide for the ex/current partners of those engaging in behaviour change.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Partner Support Worker / (IDVA) role within the Reset team.
The role of the Partner Support Worker / (IDVA) is to proactively contact victim/survivors of perpetrators engaging with ReSET to review risk, develop safety plans and improve outcomes that ensure victim/survivor voice is considered throughout intervention. As the victim/survivor’s advocate you will provide a central function in ensuring safeguarding for victim/survivors and their children is at the heart of all we do.
You will also work alongside existing partner support agencies to ensure co-ordinated interventions occur, that address identified needs and risks, and promote understanding of the impact of abusive behaviours to wider stakeholders.
You will be passionate and committed to working within a multi-disciplinary team and will have a demonstrable track record of working with service users including complex need, to support victim/survivors to live healthy safe and happy lives free from the threat of domestic abuse. While qualified IDVA status is desirable we will consider each applicants’ experience and provide further training where necessary.
This post is subject to an Enhanced DBS background check.
Unfortunately, we are unable to accept CVs.
We are an inclusive employer, committed to promoting equality and diversity in all areas of our work.
