FINANCE DIRECTOR
Salary: £500 - £600pd
Location: Milton Keynes
Our client is seeking a skilled and experienced Finance Director to join their team in Milton Keynes on an initial interim basis. This role offers an exciting opportunity to undertake and oversee all aspects of financial management, including corporate accounting, regulatory and financial reporting, budget and forecasts preparation, as well as the development of internal control policies and procedures. The successful candidate will also be responsible for financial risk management.
What you'll do:
As a Finance Director, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the financial future of our client's organisation. You will work closely with the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to drive continuous improvements around processes and controls.
Your leadership skills will be crucial in guiding the finance team on a day-to-day basis. You will ensure that all aspects of the company's financial and accounting functions are maintained effectively, identifying areas that require improvement and implementing necessary changes.
Your commitment to excellence will be evident as you rigorously ensure compliance with financial, regulatory obligations.
Responsibilities include:
1. Supporting the CFO in functional development within the Finance team
2. Assisting the CFO on long-term financial business planning and forecasts
3. Providing day-to-day leadership and guidance to the finance team
4. Maintaining all aspects of the company's financial and accounting functions
5. Ensuring the company complies with financial, regulatory obligations
6. Championing the implementation of IT enhancements to improve efficiency and performance of the finance function
7. Delivering high quality timely and relevant financial information to support decision making
8. Managing the company's daily cash flow, analysing financial weaknesses and strengths, proposing corrective actions
9. Streamlining and automating financial processes for better efficiency
10. Contributing to decisions regarding the company's financial strategy
What you bring:
The ideal candidate for this Finance Director position is someone who brings a wealth of experience in a similar role. Your ability to produce quality work under pressure is commendable, coupled with your experience of using and understanding an ERP system. Your excellent business acumen and good understanding of current financial issues set you apart. 1. Qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA with several years of experience in a similar role
2. Advanced MS Office skills
3. Ability to produce quality work under pressure and meet deadlines
4. Experience of using and understanding an ERP system
5. Excellent business acumen and good understanding of current financial issues
6. Ability to communicate effectively at all levels both internally and externally
7. Flexible approach to problem solving and decision making
8. Strong leadership skills with a collaborative way of working
