Are you a highly organised and proactive individual looking to make a significant impact in a dynamic business environment? The newly formed Devon Chamber of Commerce, a merger of Devon & Plymouth Chamber and Exeter Chamber, is seeking a Personal Assistant to support our CEO, Deputy CEO and Boards.
About Us: The Devon Chamber of Commerce is at the forefront of supporting businesses in the region, fostering economic growth, and providing valuable networking opportunities. As we embark on this exciting new chapter, we need a dedicated Personal Assistant to ensure the smooth operation of our CEO’s office and Board activities.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Manage the CEO’s diary and coordinate meetings
2. Act as the first point of contact for internal and external enquiries
3. Coordinate travel arrangements and logistics
4. Prepare and follow up on reports for the CEO/Deputy CEO’s external meetings
5. Organise and attend board meetings, take minutes, and follow up on action items
6. Liaise with board members and manage communication
7. Maintain an organised filing system
Person Specification: We are looking for someone with excellent organisation skills, strong communication abilities, and the capacity to manage multiple priorities. The ideal candidate will be proactive, adaptable, and able to handle confidential information with discretion.
Qualifications:
1. A relevant qualification or equivalent experience.
2. Previous experience in a Personal Assistant role.
Skills and Abilities:
1. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
2. Strong problem-solving skills.
3. High attention to detail.
