As a result of this growing workflow, Stantec is actively seeking Mechanical Engineers and Senior Mechanical Engineers to join our Water Business in the South. With opportunities at our offices in Brighton, Ashford, and Kings Hill, you will grow our reputation within the local communities by providing mechanical design services for a range of projects.
You will hold responsibility for working and liaising with project managers, technical leaders, design engineers, clients, supply chain partners, contractors, planners, and other stakeholders to achieve positive outcomes for the projects and community. You will help mentor and guide less experienced members within the team.

About You
The successful candidate will be a Mechanical Engineer who is ideally Chartered or Incorporated with the IMechE with experience in mechanical design.
You will be experienced in producing technical outputs such as technical specifications, sizing and designing pumping systems and aeration systems, schedules, reports and familiar with collaborative planning reviews and designs of solutions.
You will be able to provide engineering input design outputs in collaboration with other disciplines, such as General Arrangement Drawings, 3D models, and Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams.
To be successful in this role, you will have strong communication skills and be able to deliver technical presentations to clients and other design engineers as well as input into collaborative design discussions including technical workshops, safety reviews including HAZOPs and ALMs.
While experience in the Water sector is an advantage, we would also be interested in speaking with candidates who have experience within the energy, infrastructure & environmental sectors in a mechanical engineering capacity.
