A bit about the job:
The Home Claims team is central to Aviva, helping customers get back on track when they need to make a claim.
This role involves overseeing a team of Grade B claims handlers, acting as a role model to maintain customer service standards and deliver good customer outcomes. You will provide oversight of the team's activities, reporting to operational leads and senior management, and use your practical and technical knowledge to manage a claims portfolio efficiently.
You will lead frontline handlers, ensuring the correct routing of claims and driving strong performance across customer and cost metrics.
Skills and experience we’re looking for:
* Strong leadership skills
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, multi-tasking, prioritising responsibilities and delivering within agreed time limits.
* Embrace and support change, matched with the ability to share ideas and suggestions to improve our claims journey.
* Effective communication skills and good interpersonal skills, with a team player mentality, a willingness to learn and help others out.
* Demonstrate strong IT skills, with prior experience of using software like Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word.
What you’ll get for this role:
* Starting salary circa £36,000 (depending on location, skills, experience, and qualifications)
* Bonus opportunity - 8% of annual salary. Actual amount depends on your performance and Aviva’s.
