Network Engineer
Location: 95% remote, 5% on-site in Farnborough

Role Overview
We are seeking a skilled Network Engineer to support the design, implementation, and maintenance of our network infrastructure during a major migration program. Working closely with the Network Architect and IT teams, you will play a crucial role in ensuring a seamless transition to the new network environment.
Key Responsibilities
1. Assist in designing and implementing network solutions for the migration program.
2. Configure and deploy network hardware and software, including routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs.
3. Monitor network performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure optimal operation.
4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and address network requirements.
5. Maintain and update network documentation, including diagrams, configurations, and procedures.
6. Ensure network security and compliance with industry best practices.
7. Provide technical support and guidance to IT teams and end-users during the migration.
8. Conduct network testing and validation to ensure a successful deployment.
9. Stay up to date with the latest networking technologies and industry trends.
Required Skills & Experience
1. Proven experience as a Network Engineer or similar role.
2. Strong understanding of network architecture, design, and implementation.
3. Hands-on experience with network migration projects (highly desirable).
4. Expertise in routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs, and networking protocols.
5. Knowledge of network security principles and best practices.
6. Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
7. Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills.
8. Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
9. Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNA, CCNP) are a plus.
