These are exciting times to be working at Birmingham, one of the largest and most exciting Local Planning Authorities in the country. As a member of the planning team, you will be integral to the council’s recovery strategy, capitalising on the significant development across the city and the arrival of HS2. The planning team is at the centre of this ambitious growth programme, and we are seeking talented and driven people to deliver it.
Principal Development Management Planners are required to guide some of the biggest and most strategic schemes the city has, ensuring a consistent and equitable approach to decision making. The role is fast-paced and requires excellent negotiation and organisational skills alongside a desire to deliver the best quality planning decisions.
