Business Development Manager - Contract Logistics Business (Food Storage and Logistics)
Certain Advantage are recruiting on behalf of an International Logistics client for a Business Development Manager to join their European division focussing on winning new contract logistics business for the supply of food products.
This is a permanent role operating very much as a sales hunter; actively sourcing new businesses to develop with the objective of increasing revenue and improving profitability. This is a vital role in building new business relationships to expand the business nationwide.
Key responsibilities
* Sales - Exploring, identifying and responding to new tendering opportunities
* Networking - Participating in targeted networking events and conferences
* Promotion - Promoting a tailored solution based on client needs, using appropriate features and benefits of the company's operating model.
* Sales Planning - Creating local business sales plan and expansion of the local presence for all logistics and service offerings
* Increase sales - Establishing local value proposition and work closely with the product organisation to increase sales and optimise P&L for the product
* Coordination - Organising teams globally across functions, products, and geographies to improve the overall customer experience
* Contract Compliance - Ensuring effective contract fulfilment
