Trimley St Mary Primary School - Trimley St Mary, Suffolk IP11 0ST £25,979 - £31,364 pro rata 32.50 hours per week, 39 weeks of the year Fixed Term contract until 31 August 2025 Reference: 6615 Required from January 2025 We are seeking to welcome a dedicated and compassionate Family Liaison and Attendance Officer to our supportive team. In this role, you will support children and their families by removing barriers to learning, whether they arise from challenges at school or home, working with children who may be at risk of exclusion, those with irregular attendance, and those with social, emotional or behavioural needs. As part of this, you will support children with any worries or anxieties they may be experiencing, together with providing confidential support for parents on issues affecting their child. A good working relationship with our dedicated SENDco will be crucial to this role. Experience in delivering targeted pastoral and behaviour support is highly desirable. You will monitor attendance, undertake tracking and analysis of behaviour and attendance in consultation with Attendance Lead and the Senior Leadership Team. As an alternative designated safeguarding lead, you will support our safeguarding efforts, provide guidance and support to children and families facing personal challenges, and collaborate with staff and external agencies to deliver the highest standards of care. You will: be deeply committed to ensuring all children are fully supported to achieve their best be experienced in working with children with a particular focus on supporting those with social, emotional and mental health needs have strong communication skills, forming positive relationships with children, parents and staff, fostering a supportive and collaborative environment demonstrate a high level of literacy and numeracy always maintain high levels of confidentiality and professionalism actively seek opportunities to improve practice and stay updated with the latest educational trends and strategies to enhance the outcomes for all children create effective learning partnerships between school, pupils, families, the wider community and partnership agencies.
