Senior CAD Technician
Location: North Cornwall
Salary: £45,000 to £50,000 DOE + Holidays + Bank Holidays + Pension + Onsite Parking
ARE YOU A SENIOR CAD TECHNICIAN WITH EXPERIENCE WORKING WITHIN A MANUFACTURING ENVIRONMENT?
Senior CAD Technician required for a well-established company that operates on both a national and international basis. They have considerable investment plans for significant growth and are market leaders for innovation, well-renowned within their niche industry.
This role offers a varied opportunity to get involved with a broad product portfolio, high-profile international clients/projects, and the chance to influence all stages of the product lifecycle.
The role would suit experienced CAD Technicians who have experience working within manufacturing environments. The successful candidate must have experience with both 2D and 3D design software, NPD through to manufacture, and value engineering. You must be able to demonstrate the ability to liaise with team members and other internal departments, as well as deal with suppliers and both UK-based and overseas manufacturers. Ideally, CAD Technicians will have experience with a range of engineering processes and materials used in contract seating.
The position is based within a fast-paced design department, working on high-value projects. Responsibilities include collating project requirements, BOMs, and ordering requirements, as well as new product developments, design improvements/value engineering, space planning, and generating manufacturing drawings. This role will involve close collaboration with sales, operations, and procurement teams internally, and will include liaison with customers, architects, and senior site teams to ensure project designs are correct.

The Senior CAD Technician:
1. Must be an experienced CAD Technician
2. Will ideally be degree qualified in design/mechanical engineering or equivalent
3. Must have previous experience working within manufacturing
4. Must have experience of both 2D and 3D design
5. Will be able to demonstrate experience of layout and space planning
6. Will ideally have experience using SolidWorks and AutoCAD packages
