High Beeches Primary School - a great place to work Teaching Assistant Required Overview Making learning a lifelong adventure We are currently looking for a high-calibre individual to work as a teaching assistant in a Key Stage 2 class, principally supporting an individual pupil and with the possibility of sometimes working with other children in the class. The role is mornings only and we may have some flexibility to accommodate someone wishing to work between 12.5 to 20 hours per week, by incorporating some lunchtime supervisory work. The post represents a unique opportunity to work closely with pupils and teachers to improve outcomes. About the Role You will enjoy working as part of a team and will be highly focused on ensuring that pupils make excellent progress and achieve well by supporting them in lessons to make good progress in their learning and development. You may have experience of or interest in supporting neuro-diverse children. About You We are looking for someone with a positive attitude and a passion for seeing children thrive and achieve. Experience of working with children on a paid or voluntary basis and supporting them to make progress is desirable. We want our pupils to be the best, so it is essential that the successful candidates can provide a model of communication, language and numeracy skills. These should be reflected in high expectations of themselves and others as well as in good GCSE’s or at least a relevant level 2 qualification. You should be able to follow direction, but will also need to work with initiative and discretion. You will have high degrees of resilience and flexibility and will be able to contribute to our school’s positive ethos.
