We are currently looking for a Transport Administrator/Trainee Planner to join our busy Southampton transport depot.
Abacus Logistics Ltd is a family-run logistics company, with over 100 vehicles servicing the container ports of Southampton, London Gateway, and Felixstowe.
Core Responsibilities and Duties:
* Assist Transport Planners and Operators with day-to-day operations.
* Accurately check container release/acceptances with container depots and ports.
* Ensure compliance with legal requirements for Vehicle Operations, health and safety, and other regulations.
* Provide outstanding service to all customers to ensure we meet the SLA's.
* Develop and maintain business relationships with our customers, drivers, and subcontractors.
The Ideal Candidate:
* Ideally have worked in Transport - Containers/General Haulage.
* Hard-working attitude, self-motivated.
* Ability to effectively communicate within a team.
* Ability to build rapport and create positive business relationships with customers/suppliers.
* Resilient attitude, able to work to deadlines and handle a pressured environment.
