What will I be doing? Based primarily from the picturesque Macallan Estate in Speyside, you'll manage and deliver a range of multi-discipline engineering projects across Edrington sites. Using your electrical, control, and instrumentation knowledge, you'll oversee projects from initial design through to commissioning, ensuring compliance with programme and budget requirements. Your technical expertise will enhance the efficiency, output, and resilience of operations at distillery, warehousing, and infrastructure facilities, contributing to Edrington's superb reputation for innovation and excellence. You will: Collaborate with the Engineering Management team to deliver annual capital investment plans. Provide specialist E,C&I engineering support and technical advice, ensuring the integration of new equipment and systems. Manage multi-discipline projects from conception to hand-over, including feasibility studies, budget control, planning, and reporting. Oversee construction and commissioning activities, ensuring timely and safe project completion. Interface closely with operations, events, and technical teams to ensure safe and effective project delivery. Drive innovative process control and new technologies to keep Edrington at the industry forefront. Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental standards. Although the role is based at The Macallan Estate, the job holder will be expected to manage project activity at other Edrington sites as required To thrive in this role, you will be/have: Qualified to a minimum on HNC/HND level in Electrical and/or Control Engineering Broad exposure to electrical, control and instrumentation, although needn’t be a “technical expert” in all three Experience of working within ATEX areas or knowledge of DSEAR regulations. Experience in managing “end-to-end” capital expenditure projects from design to delivery. Broad knowledge and experience in LV distribution systems, motor control centres / control panels and electrical installation practices Experience working with PLCs; mainly ladder logic and SCADA Understanding and experience of instrumentation Excellent influencing and communication skills and the ability to engage and collaborate with key stakeholders. Health & Safety focused and able to work to latest guidelines It would be nice if you had: Experience of working on an Upper Tier CoMAH site CompEX qualifications Previous exposure to HV Electrical Systems A background in distilling or other related process industries e.g. Food & Drink.
