Job Description
1. Ensure accurate monthly accounts and compliance through balance sheet reviews and financial controls.
2. Prepare and deliver timely financial reports and KPIs for senior leadership.
3. Lead preparation of annual and semi-annual financial reports, ensuring compliance with standards.
4. Oversee cash flow forecasting and working capital to support business liquidity.
5. Manage currency risk and ensure adherence to treasury policies.
6. Draft tax computations and ensure compliance with HMRC submissions.
7. Assist CFO in preparing budgets and business cases aligned with strategy.
8. Support project appraisals and develop post-implementation reports.
9. Share expertise, identify training needs, and support team development.
The Successful Applicant
1. Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
2. Strong leadership skills
3. Ability to drive business growth
4. Experience working within an SME & happy being in a hands-on role
5. Advanced Excel skills
6. IFRS & GAAP experience
What's on Offer
1. Salary circa £70,000-£80,000
2. Hybrid & flexible working, around 2-3 days per week in their Preston office
