Key Duties Events Operations Interns will support with key event planning tasks in the run up to Summer Programmes and be primarily responsible for maintaining transport and managing airport transfer logistics for our international students. Leading on exciting events and social programme activities: Act as point-of-contact for our student Prom, attended by all residential students Supporting on running our Gala Dinners, including dressing the room, liaising with external stakeholders, and ensuring our students and professional attendees get a 5 experience Supporting on check-in days for international student arrivals: Analysing data and co-ordinating complex logistics Booking and facilitating transport for students from airport to accommodation and across programme venues Running our Heathrow Welcome Club and being a friendly face to greet students to our experience Managing a team of other staff including delegating tasks to ensure the smooth running of Welcome Club Managing relationships with key stakeholders Logistics support ahead of, and during, programmes: Resources management and preparation, including ordering, tracking and packing of essential programme materials Transport of resources to our venues across central London Movement management of resources including coordinating movement from storage unit to venues General support: Administration of our website and tech platforms Supporting with formatting registers Technical support for other seasonal staff members Working with Operations Team to support with other tasks where necessary Please note this list is indicative rather than exhaustive, and you may be required to take on additional responsibilities. Person Specification You are an organised and detail-oriented university student, or recent graduate, looking to gain experience in events management and logistics. Typical hours for June will be 9am - 5pm, Monday - Friday, while during programme season this will involve a more flexible schedule (including working weekends and evenings) to suit the needs of our programmes, up to a maximum of 48 hours per week on average. You must be available on weekends throughout July - August to complete the responsibilities of this role. Some overtime may be required in exceptional circumstances, which will be renumerated as per our overtime policy. You will accrue Annual Leave throughout your internship at a standard rate (25 days per year pro-rated). Salary: £500 per week Returning interns or those with additional responsibilities will be eligible for a higher salary band of £530 per week. Contract: fixed term, 12 weeks over June to August 2025 Additional: international students on visas which allow them to work full-time over university holidays will be able to apply for this position.
