Responsibilities:
1. Deliver and maintain a high standard of personal care to residents in accordance with their needs and desired outcomes.
2. Carry out procedures as instructed by the Registered Nurse, Senior Carer, or Head of Care within your scope of competence.
3. Document care given, in accordance with procedures.
4. Report to the Person in Charge any changes in residents’ condition or other circumstances that could impact resident care.
5. Report to the Person in Charge any complaints, incidents, or accidents immediately.
6. Be accountable for the quality of your own work and take responsibility for maintaining and improving knowledge and skills, attending training and receiving supervision as required.
7. Help promote the mental and physical activity of residents through engaging in activities such as reading, writing, hobbies, and other social activities.
8. Assist in ensuring that all resident areas are hygienic, safe, and comfortable at all times.
9. Ensure that equipment and stocks are efficiently and safely stored and economically used.
10. Assist in ensuring the security of all residents and the premises through the observance of security procedures and the challenging of any strangers in the Home.
11. Maintain the utmost confidentiality regarding resident affairs.

Training:
Paragon Skills is a leading national Apprenticeship training provider, supporting over 4,000 learners and 1,500 organisations. It has an Ofsted Grade 2 Good rating and an overall achievement rate of 71.4%, exceeding the national average of 65.6%. Using a blended approach, learners are always at the forefront of our priorities. All learners are assigned a Personal Tutor who will be their main point of contact.
This involves regular catch-ups, check-in emails, and calls. Your employer will agree to give you 20% of your working hours solely towards your study, giving you every chance to achieve the highest grade possible! On completion of this 12-month apprenticeship, you will have gained: Adult Care Worker – Level 2 Apprenticeship.
