We are seeking a passionate and dedicated SEN Teacher to join a dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be committed to creating an engaging, inclusive, and supportive learning environment for students with a range of special educational needs. You will be responsible for planning, delivering, and assessing individualized education programs (IEPs) tailored to each student's needs.
- Deliver personalized learning: Design and implement lessons that cater to the unique learning requirements of each student.
- Support student development: Encourage students' academic, social, and emotional growth, adapting teaching approaches based on student progress and needs.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams: Work closely with teaching assistants, therapists, and other professionals to provide comprehensive support for each student.
- Manage classroom environment: Ensure a safe, supportive, and positive environment that promotes learning and self-confidence.
- Assess and report: Regularly monitor and assess student progress, providing timely feedback to parents, guardians, and other stakeholders.
- Stay current: Keep up to date with best practices in SEN teaching and attend relevant training as required.
- Qualifications: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent, with additional SEN certification preferred.
- Experience: Previous experience teaching students with SEN is essential.
- Skills: Strong communication skills, empathy, patience, and a proactive, creative approach to problem-solving.
- Knowledge: Solid understanding of SEN legislation, including safeguarding and the SEND Code of Practice.
- Commitment: A strong commitment to making a positive difference in the lives of students with special needs.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
