Empowering is recruiting for an Early Years Teacher based in Bromley Borough to work full-time, teaching pupils in a Year 3 class (who are developmentally like Year 1 children) with autism and ADHD.
My client school is looking for a teacher to teach small groups with autism and SEMH. We are currently seeking a compassionate and experienced teacher to join our team on a long-term basis.
This role starts ASAP.
Duties and Responsibilities:
* Plan and teach well-structured lessons to assigned classes, following the school's plans, curriculum, and schemes of work.
* Assess, monitor, record, and report on the learning needs, progress, and achievements of assigned pupils, making accurate and productive use of assessment.
* Adapt teaching to respond to the strengths and needs of pupils.
* Set high expectations which inspire, motivate, and challenge pupils.
* Promote good progress and outcomes by pupils.
* Demonstrate good subject and curriculum knowledge.
* Participate in arrangements for preparing pupils for external tests.
Working Schedule:
* The teacher will work 5 days a week from 8:30 am till 4:00 pm (not negotiable).
* The teacher will need to start as soon as possible.
* The right person will be responsible for handover and planning for the return this term.
* The teacher will need to have experience or a qualification in teaching children.
* PGCE, QTS, or QTLS, and a bachelor's in education will be required at a minimum to be applicable for this role.
Requirements:
* A degree in education or a relevant qualification in teaching is required.
* Experience working with children with Autism and SEMH needs is highly desirable, but not a must.
* Passion and dedication to work with children with special needs.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
