We specialise in the assessment and treatment of men who present with acute mental health illness whose offending behaviour and complex mental health needs require care in a medium secure setting.
The ward consists of a multi-disciplinary team of healthcare assistants, nurses, occupational therapists, psychologists, speech and language therapists, doctors and consultants.
Patients are offered therapeutic activities by the occupational therapy team and their care is reviewed regularly during ward rounds and other multi-disciplinary team meetings.

Main duties of the job
The role is a key member of the multidisciplinary care team and will have continuing responsibility to:
* Carry out comprehensive nursing assessments and be responsible for producing individualised nursing care plans for named patients.
* Coordinate and implement the nursing care plan for individual patients and inform the multi-disciplinary team of progress in the treatment process.
* Provide leadership to the healthcare worker using supervision and IPR and to work under the guidance and management of the Clinical Manager.
