Job Summary
This post is responsible for managing a portfolio of contracts, working to support Integrated Commissioning Boards in the management of providers through contracting. The portfolio includes (but is not limited to) Non-Emergency Patient Transport contract covering NHS Hampshire Isle of Wight as well as supporting contracts in NHS Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire and Berkshire West ICB and Frimley ICB. This contract is due to go out to procurement shortly with a new contract in place for April 26 you will be joining at a key time to support mobilisation and delivery of this contract. The portfolio also includes a number of smaller urgent and emergency care contracts (UEC) in NHS Hampshire Isle of Wight.
In the role you will work with a multi-disciplinary team to inform providers of contractual, performance, financial and operational challenges faced by providers.
There is an essential requirement to work from the office location on a regular/potentially weekly basis.

Main duties of the job
* To develop and maintain excellent relationships with customers founded on provision of robust provider performance management and expert contracting support.
* Performance and activity reporting.
* Provide information, advice, guidance and support to contract and quality meetings.
* Support to contract development, negotiation and finalisation including contract activity plans and cost schedules.
* Support to contract dispute resolution processes.
* Provider activity validation and data quality review.
* Contracts benchmarking.
About Us
The Contract Manager will report into the Lead Contract Manager. The role has one direct report. The portfolio of this role covers contracts with HIOW, but would also be working with commissioners from BOB and Frimley ICBs as required. The team as a whole span BOB, Frimley and HIOW ICBs and deliver services to all three areas. The postholder will be expected to cross cover for leave.
The UEC contract team consists of 10 individuals, made up from contract managers, contract admin, finance manager and contract analysts. The culture of the team is friendly, respectful, and co-operative working together collaboratively with commissioners to get the best outcomes for patients, this requires being able to build and maintain strong relationships with a variety of stakeholders and organisations.
