Job Description Summary
BD has a phenomenal range of products, services and clinical expertise available to help our health systems, clinical teams and patients. Awareness of BD is however, in the places that matter, low and often limited. Explaining how all that we do fits together, to improve patient pathways, practice and outcomes for patients and system flow, can be challenging.
That’s where our new Signature Programmes step in. As part of our commitment to sustainable & resilient healthcare we have developed BD Signature Programmes to address three fundamental healthcare challenges threatening our health systems ability to deliver: Patient Safety, Healthcare Workers & Efficiency.
Working across the UK and Ireland business units and in conjunction with colleagues across EMEA, you’ll be responsible for developing and delivering on our Signature Programme and Environment Social and Governance strategy and campaigns. Expanding our KOL network to help engage and connect across our marketing, clinical, sales and other functions to launch EMEA lead omnichannel campaigns (and some locally focused). Building awareness and opportunities for BD to engage with health leaders. This role builds on our previous Patient Safety focus, to address the interconnected pillars of BD Signature Programmes.
The Signature Programmes & ESG Manager will report to the Country Marketing Lead for UK & Ireland. The role will require the successful candidate to be a pro-active self-starter, able to work across the BD Life Science, Medical and Interventional businesses and our supporting functions as well as EMEA colleagues across Europe. The role will lead the coordinated execution of our ESG & Signature Programmes strategies both internally and externally.
Whilst delivery of safe patient care is a golden thread that runs through healthcare, the pressing needs to improve productivity, recruit, retain staff all can have impacts on, or be impacted by improvements in safety. Advancing safety – both patient and for the healthcare worker remains at the heart of what BD associates, BD products and BD services can deliver. We want to ensure that no patient or healthcare worker suffers avoidable harm that we might have helped prevent.
This role should help BD change culture and practice and advance the world of health by connecting and enhancing the recognition of BD as a leader. A leader in helping deliver both short and longer term improvements in patient safety, healthcare worker capacity, and more efficient and productive health systems.
