Paragon Talent is working in retained partnership with a UK-based ingredient manufacturing company with several manufacturing sites across the UK.
We’re looking for an experienced Sales/Account Manager to join their business and take responsibility for one of their largest customers, a food manufacturing company within the confectionery market. As a key member of the sales team, you will lead, manage, and plan key customer account activities to maximise profit, deliver growth, and develop long-term business relationships in line with the company’s strategic objectives. Your role will also involve identifying and developing new customer, market, and product opportunities with ambitions to grow significantly.
Responsibilities
* Lead and manage key customer accounts to maximise profitability and strategic growth.
* Ensure customer relationships are built and managed professionally with the objectives of retention and growth.
* Develop an in-depth understanding of the product range, the best use of products, and the strategic sale of those products.
* Devise strategic growth plans for key customers, aligned with the company’s overall strategic plan.
* Plan strategically to achieve agreed objectives and provide timely commercial information on markets, customers, and competitors.
* Work closely with the Head of Sales and NPD Manager to develop new products.

* Commercial experience in the UK B2B food ingredient market.
* Strong knowledge of customers within the confectionery, bakery, and dairy market.
* Experience working with internal Product Development teams and an ability to recommend the best solution and see new product launches come to market.
* Self-drive, motivation, and willingness to meet existing and prospective customers face-to-face.
