A Kiteworks, the Sales Engineer is a pre-sales expert, deeply technical with great customer skills who is committed to solving prospects and customers problems and pain points using a consultative approach. When it comes to deploying enterprise software, you are the guru; this can be demonstrated by a track record of happy, referenceable customers. They appreciate your technical acumen and your diligence: no details about a customer project get by you. As our key technical advisor and product advocate, you will actively drive and manage the sales process from technology evaluation through to Customer Success. You will engage with prospects to help them understand the solutions Kiteworks can provide an organisation. Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics (or equivalent), or 4 years of experience in customer success/sales engineering (3 years in sales engineering). Strong customer-facing skills, excellent verbal, written, and organizational abilities, with a personable, high-integrity approach. Solid understanding of cybersecurity (WAF, IPS, IDS, firewalls, proxies, encryption, system hardening). Information security knowledge (e.g., phishing, social engineering). Independent and proactive, with a solution-oriented mindset and accountability for Sales Pod outcomes. Highly Beneficial Fluent in French. Experience selling to VP and C-level executives. Familiarity with mailflow processes (S/MIME, PGP, MX, SPF, Exchange; DMARC/DKIM a plus). Knowledge of networking fundamentals (e.g., Network/Security), including CIDR, firewalls, OSI model, virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V), and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure). Familiarity with APIs, HTTP/HTTPS, TCP/IP, SFTP, SMB, and common OSs (Windows, Mac, basic Linux). Understanding of MFT processes and automation tools (Node-RED, Airflow, SFTP scripting). Basic knowledge of Python/JavaScript. Educate potential customers on Kiteworks' platform advantages, including market comparisons to competitors. Provide pre-sales technical consulting through online demos, conference calls, and onsite visits to support the sales team and prospects. Drive the pre-sales process to close business, boost PO value, and lead POV/POC projects, documenting success criteria and meeting business requirements. Collaborate with Regional Sales Managers during proposals to ensure technical recommendations address customer needs. Support Account Management, Marketing, and Customer Success by explaining new features and their potential to enhance current installations. Gather market feedback for Product Management to inform future platform developments that align with client needs. Manage RFPs/RFIs and handle the response process end-to-end. Travel up to 50% for client and partner visits. Engage in training, webinars, and events ; support and resolve escalations to maximize POV/POC success. Provide feedback to Product Management and join PM summits to influence Kiteworks' strategic development based on customer needs. Commit to continuous learning and professional growth.
