As a Category Assistant, you will have the drive and ambition to work within a dynamic, commercial function and you may be looking to take your first step into a career in Buying or Category. As a Buying or Category Assistant, you will play a vital role in being the first point of contact for our expansive branch network and suppliers, supporting our Category team for Controls and Tools in ensuring we have the right range of products for our customers at the right gross margin profitability, securing the maximum amount of funding from our suppliers to support that range.
Responsibilities:
* Using your great communication skills, you will ensure requests and queries from our Branches are dealt with quickly and efficiently.
* You’ll have an eye for detail, ensuring accurate data is provided to help the team understand the trading performance of our categories and customers.
* A great team player, who will collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders of all levels to help deliver commercial projects in a fast paced & growing category.
* You will also own & maintain data, to ensure our online content, system data, pricing & promotional activity is accurate and customer-focused.
Previous experience isn't essential for our Category Assistant roles, so you may have retail experience, be a recent graduate or currently working in our network already.
