Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Warehouse Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse by managing the flow of goods and materials. This position requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Duties
1. Engage in picking and packing orders accurately for distribution.
2. Operate forklifts safely to load and unload goods from lorries, adhering to all safety protocols.
3. Operate machinery with precision (on-the-job training given).
4. Handle materials with care, ensuring proper storage and organisation within the warehouse environment.
5. Perform shipping and receiving tasks, ensuring accurate documentation and inventory control.
6. Build and assemble pallets for shipping, ensuring products are securely packaged.
7. Utilise a Warehouse Management System (WMS) to track inventory levels and manage stock efficiently.
8. Conduct heavy lifting as required, moving materials throughout the warehouse.
Experience
1. Previous experience in warehouse operations is advantageous but not mandatory.
2. Experience operating forklifts is highly desirable; relevant certifications are a plus.
3. A strong understanding of stock management principles, including picking, packing, and heavy lifting techniques.
4. Proven ability in materials handling within a warehouse setting is essential for success in this role.
We offer on-the-job forklift training, working alongside our existing team who will help bring you up to speed.
Working hours: 6am - 3pm, Monday - Friday.
Start date: 1st January 2025.
