Class Act Teaching Services are currently working with a Primary School in Wallingford who are looking for a Teaching Assistant initially until the end of the academic year with the potential to be made permanent. The role starts in January 2025 and while the school is looking for a full time Teaching Assistant to work Monday to Friday, there can be flexibility and are open to hearing from people with different availability. The role will be working within Early Years and KS1. The over arching ethos of this school is for everyone to become the best version of themselves they can be whilst learning and having fun. Role of a Teaching Assistant: Able to support the students in the class under the direction of the class teacher Support students on 121 basis and in small groups Upkeep a tidy, organised classroom with accessible resources where needed Work effectively with other members of staff in the classroom and throughout the school Ability to support students, on a whole class, small group and one to one basis, and encourage their progression Comply with the schools’ policies and implement effectively Requirements of a Teaching Assistant: Recent experience working as a Teaching Assistant and Early Years Experience is advantageous A relevant Level 2 or 3 qualification is desirable Previous experience with students with SEND Why Class Act Teaching Services?
