Position: Full Time and Permanent
We are a reputable Legal 500 firm seeking a motivated Paralegal to assist our busy private client department. This is a great opportunity to join a firm that is renowned for valuing employee progression and development. The firm works with a wide range of both individual and commercial clients, and has offices based in Swansea and Carmarthen. This is an entry level role for an academically strong candidate, or someone who has gathered some legal experience and is looking at moving into a private client role.
The Role:
As a private client paralegal, your role will involve supporting the Administration of Estates and Lifetime Estate Planning team. You will be assisting the fee earners of the department on carrying out their respective duties and responsibilities. This will include, but not be limited to:
1. Meeting with new clients and handling any queries they may have.
2. Drafting Wills and Lasting Powers of Attorney.
3. Assisting with obtaining deputyship orders and the day-to-day management of property and financial affairs.
4. Assisting the team with obtaining Grants of Representation, post grant administration, and distribution of the estates.
5. Assisting in matters connected with clients' Personal Estate Planning.
6. Assisting in matters connected with Trust drafting and administration.
7. Liaising with clients, executors, beneficiaries and other third parties and stakeholders.
8. Working to tight deadlines and managing your own caseload.
9. Supporting fee earners in the department with their caseload on an ad hoc basis.
Applicants must have excellent academics, exemplary organisational and IT skills, with a keen eye for detail. They must also be a quick learner and ready and willing to assist the team with any paralegal and administrative tasks required in a calm and efficient manner.
