Location of Role: Copnor Primary School Job/Person Summary We are looking to appoint a proactive and motivated Assistant Caretaker to join our school team to help provide a healthy and safe environment for the children at Copnor Primary School. You will work directly with our Site Manager to jointly oversee site security and site management of our school grounds, and as required, you will provide supervision of contractors, provide caretaking of the school and grounds, cleaning, porterage and routine maintenance to meet the needs of the school and be responsible for the roadworthiness of the school minibuses. Whilst at all times ensuring high standards of cleanliness and operational effectiveness are met and compliant with health and safety requirements. We are looking for someone who is proactive, has a good sense of humour, a bright outlook, integrity, good time keeping and holds a full driving licence. Ideally you will have some practical / maintenance work experience. An understanding of basic Health and Safety, and the ability to do lifting is essential. Some basic IT skills would be advantageous as is good spoken and written English. Please note that it is not essential to have previously undertaken the role of a Caretaker in a school, full training will be provided.
