Centre Admin Manager at Hope for children and their families
WE REQUIRE:
1. Experience of accounting software essential, preferably Xero
2. AAT Level 3 preferred but not essential
3. Good understanding of invoicing/book-keeping processes
4. Excellent Microsoft Office skills
5. Knowledge of charity finances desirable
6. Experience in admin & finance environment
7. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
JOB DESCRIPTION:
1. To maintain financial records and carry out finance processes and procedures for The Hope Centre.
2. To provide a central support function for all staff in finance matters.
3. Accurate processing and management of all aspects of Purchase Ledger and Sales Ledger including raising customer invoices (including Early Years monthly invoices).
4. Maintaining accurate management and records of all bank accounts including the preparation of monthly bank reconciliations and liaising with the bank relationship manager and customer service team on relevant matters as necessary.
5. Ensure cash receipts are recorded and banked.
6. Maintain and reconcile petty cash.
7. Maintain records of Café cash and card sales and check balances regularly.
8. Process payments made using company credit card, file supporting documentation and reconcile balance.
9. File electronic documentation supporting finance transactions, scanning paper documents where required.
General:
1. Participate in meetings or training either internal or external as appropriate to the work and be committed to on-going professional development.
2. Actively participate with the Admin Manager in supervision and appraisal process.
3. Work within the confines of confidentiality and ensure that professional boundaries are always maintained when working with service users, staff and external bodies, and to work within the Organisation’s ethos.
4. Ensure that security of sensitive information is always maintained.
5. Work within, implement and comply with all HOPE Centre’s operational policies and procedures, especially those on Health and Safety, Equal Opportunities, Confidentiality, Safeguarding Children and Vulnerable Adults.
6. Undertake any other duties commensurate with the grade of the role, as determined by the CEO.
